It’s a bit sales pitchy etc but man if it’s works why not give it a go. I’l be buying the book to read and add to my collection. I firmly believe that if you read / hear /see enough, one day something will sink in. I feel that about everything in life really. It just takes that one word or action to make something click.
Anyway, check out the clip and his sites.

Today was personal training day and boxing day at the gym…..youch!!!! Boxing as a form of exercise is amazing. I always thought boxers were just dumb beefy guys who had some left over childhood agression issues and they needed to pound away at someone to get it all out. Not true. I have such a new respect for their fitness level.
When someone say they are going to work on your abs, they really mean it. Problem is, I forgot to buy some on the way. Oh, so under the flabby tubby there are abs you say? I find that so hard to believe at the moment. I’m finding it really hard to shift anything of the dreaded tummy zone. Are we sure there isn’t a magic pill for a flat tummy!!!
I feel like I’m doing well with War on Waistlines this week. Monday will tell as it’s weigh in day.
I have been great with my food, apart from 5 alcoholic drinks I have had.
I’ve been exercising as much as possible. I know I should try to get to the gym more, but life gets in the way, and my goal is to get to my goal weight by doing something that is sustainable, and busting my gut to spend 3 hours a day is just not sustainable. This will cost me points in the competition, but I’m hoping I can up my points with the cm’s lost.
I really liked this article on Boxing Scene Dot Com about weight loss secrets.
I think my arms are so tired I won’t even be able to brush my hair!!!

They say once you can ride a bike you can always ride a bike. Nobody ever mentions, that you may be able to ride it from memory, but your legs feel like they are going to fall off, sweat is pouring off you and your fat arse is so sore from sitting on that tiny very unpadded seat. This last point I can never really understand – I mean if my butt is so big, why doesn’t all the fat make it more comfy???

This was my experience this morning, but WOW what a GREAT workout!!!! I tried Cyclex It’s like riding a stationary bike while watching a Playstation You actually start to try and compete with yourself, which in my opinion is the healthiest form of competition.

I was so tired after this workout, and I’m sure my legs will be exhausted tomorrow, but I feel great. I think I’m a way off being one of those lycra glad cyclists you see on a freeway in the middle of nowhere – you always wonder where on earth the cycled from, but I will go back for more.

If your gym has this – go for it – give it a go, you may be a cycle convert like me.

Speaking of butts, I can’t ever go past this song….I’ve added three versions – just because I could.

I wish I’d done Gilbert and Sullivan like this!!!

Wonder if I’ll ever get married???

And you just can’t go past the gorgeous Cameron……

Ok, so it’s day one of War On Waistlines and I don’t think my war has been successful yet. You know what, that’s not true. I made it to the gym, exercised for 20min then had my first FPT Session.

So I have had a good day. Emotionally, a terrible day. I just take everything so personally. I was crying my eyes out when the carpet man came to fix something – he listened for a while and truly made me feel a little better. I think talking to someone outside your circle, sometimes makes a difference.
Food wise – OK day. That is, I haven’t been an angel, but my devil wings didn’t appear either.
No Alcohol
No chocolate
I did have a piece of cake that was at work…oops…but I can’t live my life never eating anything deemed to be ‘naughty’ again. All things in moderation.

We need to do a food and exercise diary as part of the competition. I think this will be good for me. So many people say when you write down everything it really starts to make the difference. My plan had been to use this blog for that purpose, but I thought people would get bored reading about it. But then I ahve found blogs that contain pages of every rep that someone does at a gym and they have loads of readers, so obviously some people are interested.

Memo to self. You feel fantastic after winning the Fernwood War On Waistlines competition!!!!!!

I’ve got a boxing class tomorrow at my gym Fernwood and I’m remembering how sore I was after my last boxing class….so now, I’m making excuses to not go. No way!!! I will be there with gloves on.
Les and his wife have written this book Fighting Globesity you should give it a read.
I always thought boxers were thugs – no way. They have to be so fit. It is such great exercise, I highly recommend trying out a class near you.

I’m exercising at least 4 times a week.
Eating well.
Only consuming a couple of glasses of alcohol once or twice a week.
Why is it not going quicker???
Is this good?? Does it mean my body is getting rid of it for good??
I’m going to start doing some research about different methods and rates of loss etc and see what I can come up with.

Woah. Ok, so my arms are just a little sore after my workout with Luke today. It was the first one on one session after our 8 week group Body Blitz ended. I think I need to stop being honest. Everytime he asked me how something felt and I said ok – he upped the weights!!! I feel like saying ‘no fair’, but the reality is, I do feel great after the work out.?If you can afford one on one training, I really recommend it. I can’t afford it, but I can’t not afford it either. If it means giving smaller gifts at Xmas then it is worth it. Your health should be your number one priority, I mean really, without it, your cactus!
?The new issue of Australian Women’s Health magazine was out today. They have a great site, with a good workout calendar. Check it out.
?The magazine was also full of positive info about fixing your mind to fix your weight issues, it’s nice to know I’m on the right track.
?So what am I doing for exerise??
?Well, I work out 3 times a week with Luke from Professional Edge
?We run up these HUGE hills once a week and 8 weeks ago, I was having trouble walking up them – now I can run about 3/4 of it. I amazed at how much fitter I feel. Today we did squats using the big fit ball against the wall, with 10kg weights in each hand. Going down isn’t the problem, it’s getting back up that is.?I know I’ve only lost 9.5kgs since August – but hey, I haven’t put on any, clothes are fitting better and I am fitter. Who could ask for anyting more? The other thing is, I haven’t been a saint with the eating programme either. The odd glass of wine, a few meals out – so, yes, I’m happy.?The tides are turning for the positive. I won a 6mnth membership to Fernwood Women’s Health Clubs on Saturday. I don’t need to start it till Feb, so I’ll keep doing the one on ones till then and maybe by then I’ll be in the groove enough to cut down the personal training to once a week. Part of me is tempted to start going now, but then I would be doing so much exercise that I would either fall in a heap or drop lots of weight fast (chances are it would all come back on). I feel better about doing it this way.?So what am I eating?? Well, I’m going to start a food diary, just to make sure I’m being as good as I can be. In the diary, I’m also going to include the emotions or events that triggered the eating. I will then go over this with Elizabeth (the lovely shrink), and see what we can work on.?One great thing I did tonight, when my gorgeous daughter had finished dinner, I didn’t pick up the last bits on her plate!!! It is so important to me that I don’t pass any of my terrible food behaivours on to her.
